Who Am I?
A perennial question.
Alison (Ali) Zuba is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT). She studied most recently at the International SomaYoga Institute Yoga North (www.yoganorthduluth.com) in Duluth, MN with Molly McManus and Ann Maxwell. She engages with the teachings of Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Ayurveda, and SomaYoga centered on whole-being wellbeing. SomaYoga is an embodied inquiry process that offers therapeutic results on the various physical + energetic + emotional + mental + spiritual layers of our being. We aim for all, yet it really depends on our collective focus!
A native of Madison, WI, Ali started deepening her connection to Yoga by enrolling in 21st Century Yoga on the Mat with Alex Pfeiffer in 2016. Practice and study of Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga allowed her to tap into a more natural state of being. Learning from a variety of teachers, she started to realize then that Yoga practice is much more than physical postures. It involves working together with compassionate self-discipline, introspective study, and trust in the whole process. She believes that daily connection practices, on and off the mat, allow us to feel into and manage self-regulating energies.
And why am I here? Another perennial question. An educator at heart and passionate about sharing wellbeing tools and techniques, Ali has been teaching yoga for five years and practicing for many more. There is great richness and depth to offer from her studies, and Ali is gentle and invitational in her offering of *present moment awareness* techniques. She uses the physical and energetic body as a bridge to explore into all layers of our being, and empowers us to live from our own heart center.

We focus on dynamic functional movement, breathing techniques, and neuro-muscular education methods. We discover and experience living in the truth of our whole authentic being. We curiously inquire and thoughtfully explore into our essential nature together.

As an Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT Yoga Alliance®) and Certified Yoga Therapsit (C-IAYT), Ali has dedicated many years to the study and practice of yoga. She teaches locally in Madison, surrounding areas, and online. In Feb 2018, she completed 300+ hours with Alex Pfeiffer in Madison, WI. In Nov 2022, she completed 1000+ hours with an internationally known and highly accredited yoga therapy program. Ali is an active mentor + teacher for many students in the Madison-area and online Yoga community.
